I probably know all of his famous Movie one liners by heart, pretty much made up all the jokes we made when my brothers, friends and I were kids. We still use some of his one liners now, he's hands down the greatest action star of all time.

He's a piece of shit. Doesn't matter how cool his movies were. Lying to your family for over a decade about an affair that led to a kid is disgusting. He's done and said plenty of other shitty things as well.
 
Arnold is probably the only movie star that isn't horrible or an asshole.

I am willing to forgive him for the whole cheating thing considering he seems like a mostly great dude who made a mistake.

You know, like a lot of people, not that infidelity is okay, in fact it isn't.

But mistakes happen.

I don't know if they made up the story, but I remember someone said that he bought some kids games for him at a gamestop once. Seems like a nice guy.

What? So he should have told his little kids he was having an affair? Do you not realize just how high the infidelity rates are in Hollywood? Do you know JFK had affairs? Hell even Bill Clinton whose speeches we all loved and will most likely be First Gentleman soon, he had an affair with his intern and then lied to the public about it almost being impeached.

Plus he is now in his illegitmate son's life, bought Joseph a Jeep for his high school graduation etc. His children have forgiven him and he has a great relationship with them all and even has reconciled to have a friendship with Maria. Just recently they were all together celebrating his youngest son Christoper's high school graduation.

This man was a poor Austrian who served in the military, emigrated to Germany and the UK becoming the top European bodybuilder, inmigrated to the US where he became the best bodybuilder in the world, became a successful real estate buyer, became the biggest movie star on the planet, married the niece of JFK, became Governor of the largest and richest state in the US etc. He will go down in history as one of the most successful and influential men of all time. His personal family problems aside, which his family have forgiven him for shouldn't diminish his accolades. He just recently raised millions for his after school all stars charity by selling shirts.

There are gyms and supplement shops on every street corner of pretty much every country in the world because of Arnold. Think about that.
 
You know what the Demolition Man timeline wouldn't actually be that bad, because we would have gotten Arnold as President and that would have been the greatest thing ever.

Good to see he's making things right for his children and family :) Arnold is pretty damn amazing, but definitely not perfect, you're right. It's annoying that people immediately jump to people's flaws for threads like these, when there's so so so many other good things. People are complex. Happy Birthday Arnold!

The messed up thing I realized the other day is that Arnold would've been a better candidate than every single person on the Republican primary stage in 2016. Right now he's one of the few Republicans standing up to the bullshit. (He's not perfect, but he's a better American than just about anyone in Trump's cabinet.) But he couldn't run since he wasn't Natural Born.

But you know, since the Republicans seem to think it's no big deal to collude with a hostile foreign power if it wins you the election, there doesn't seem to be a lot of merit to that little requirement, does there?
