Happy Friday... What is GAF up to?

Im home from a long week of work. Drinking a pint of local IPA. Having a dab or two. Listening to .....




Later I think I will play some F1 2017 on PC (got a racing wheel...now im addicted)

Tonight I will continue my dive into 13 Reasons Why (damn you GAF for making me watch this ;P)


What are we up to????
 
Called out of work.
Tried to get my laptop fixed.
Helped the GF clean up around house.
Grocery shopped.
Went to Pinera for dinner.
Bought the last 4 cases of Guiness 200th Anniversary Variety Pack.
Sitting done with a Guiness Antwerpen 8%
Gonna finish it and see if I get laid before I crash around 10pm cause I have to work tomorrow.

Haha, I wish I could tie one on tonight but back on day shifts for the week means 4am wake-up. Seriously, I dont know how people work days...fuck 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am, etc.. ugh..

Had to get those last cases tho. 4 different types of Guiness we dont usually get. Especially the 8% Antwerp style *swoon*

You usually work nights? I have only had the original Guinness and the Draught. I don't even much like the latter. What is the Antwerp like? 8% is pretty high.

It's the delicious. I love them all. Only thing I cant mess with is Guiness Blonde, that's TERRIBLE.

I do 6 days on days, 2 off, 6 on evenings, 2 off, 6 on over night then 4 off.
Crazy schedule but I dont do much but run test or watch the control panel, make sure heating/cooling is good.
I have a TV and a PlayStation4 in my locker tho for night/evening shift and Wifi.
I just FINALLY beat Xcom-2 last week lol

I'll bring my PS4 home and download God Of War via hardline mu next days off and run through that at work when my nights start back up lol

LOL... GoW is really good. I haven't beat x-com 2 yet. I got into that new BATTLETECH game, kinda like xcom with mechs.

Im still laughing over you having a ps4 and tv in your work locker... That's badass :cool:
 
Finished up the last of my assignments for this horrendous semester of uni. Only two more to go and I can start the long (five to six year) suffering that is the PhD.

Also picked up two roast beef sandwiches and a perfectly sweetened ice tea from the new coffee shop. It was wonderful.

Congratz! What is your PhD going to be in? Sweetened Ice Tea can be dangerous. Many times I find it way too sweet, so I developed a taste for unsweetened with a bit of lemon.

Damn, that's gonna be a long one. I haven't seen either yet. How are you going to get through that? Is it an outdoor theater? I hope they have an intermission for 'ya so you can grab a drink or smoke and take a piss. Come back and tell us what you thought.

Dr. Strange is a pretty refreshing Marvel super hero movie. I liked it. Did you watch the new season of Jessica Jones?

I had the same problem, it was so slow and didn't progress the story much if at all. I liked the characters enough to power through the season. Its a development season for sure, setting things up for next season. Have you watched the show MINDHUNTERS?

Its a Netflix original about the FBI and how they developed the psychological criminal profiling system that caught/went after serial killers. Its very good. It feels like David Finchers Zodiac but a show. And he was involved with it so, its pretty good.

Im 32 so I was in for the tail end of it. Early Snoop, 2pac, Biggy, Wu, Gangstar, NWA, Nas, Mobb Deep. I mean that WAS rap as far as im concerned, today its hip/hop mixed with pop. Trap music tried but nothing has come close.

Edit: GTA games have the best music dont they.

Just picked up Jumanji a while ago and watched it... surprisingly good. Cast is funny and relatable, if I said Karen Gillan was hot, it would be a great understatement...
I'd recommend it to anyone.

I haven't seen that one yet. I'm sure i will give it a rent. So I take it you like GOW? I thought it was cool how it was more like an open world rpg.

Oh yes, I love it. It's now my favorite PS exclusive.. probably ever. Up there with MGS, UC2 and Mario Galaxy in my top few games ever. I think it has a lot that appeals to me personally and where I am in life that gave certain parts extra weight.
 
Well... by the numbers:

1. Leave work early to grab the garb that I'm wearing for my friends wedding next weekend.
2. Drive home but sit in traffic for 2 hours due to Minnesota road construction. Because MN road construction is a season unto itself.
3. Get home from work and play with the dog for about a half hour outside.
4. Head back in and crack a local IPA and enjoy it whilst playing Doom.
5. Start dinner. Which is Italian beef sammiches.
6. Wife comes home and gets the standard smooch on the cheek.
7. Switch to a non-local IPA.
8. Finish dinner with the wife and realize the giardiniera is a bit hotter than I gave it credit for.
9. Go out back and conjure up a fire in my firepit.
10. 2 minutes after I start the fire, the wife informs me the entire blasted state is in a stupid "red flag" warning. So I put the fire out feeling dejected since this would've been the first of the year.
11. Come back in and watch Friends. And sampling a different IPA.
12. Run upstairs to my PC and throw my 3rd post ever on GAF.


Also, Return of the Mack brings me back. Love that song.
 
I worked as a chef on the line this evening flipping pasta and making wine reduction sauces. Now I am home smoking a bowl and will probably play some Halo multiplayer or get a movie, petting my cat. Balling out of control.

Thanks bud! What are the chances I come across another MN guy that quick? The beer here is very good. Indeed is good. I've been tossing down Badger Hill Hop Hill which is technically a pale ale but very hoppy. I typically drink their Traitor IPA though. Mankato Brewery Mad Butcher is the other local that I really like.

Either biochemistry or organic chemistry. Not sure exactly what the research will be about, but I have a strong interest in medicinal and environmental work.

Same with the Tea. I rarely get sweetened, but I thought I might as well try it and it turned out to be perfectly done. You can easily taste the green tea used and it just had a hint of sweetness not found within the leaves themselves. Really refreshing and for a dollar fifty it was pretty good for the price.
