As a veteran myself, sitting here in my cubicle dungeon seething about the current state of our nation, I had completely forgotten it was Veteran's Day.

I live in Portland and have been watching the protests on Periscope and the news. I served because I believe absolutely in the right to protest but seeing these people destroying our own city? The one that overwhelmingly voted for Hillary? One of the most progressive cities in the country?

I just don't know anymore.

Happy Remembrance Day to everyone. Having chatted with some WWII veterans at work a few days ago, I honestly cannot imagine having to see the shit they saw. Thank you for your service.

A grandfather who was a reservist in WWII
2 uncles in Vietnam, one of whom was 82nd Airborne.
A brother in law, Navy Mechanic for 18 years
A cousin who served Army Infantry in Afghanistan
A nephew currently servicing as a Naval Flight Officer.

Military families are great and I'm hoping to add my own name to the list whenever I can get through the paperwork.
