Now That We're dead

First disappointing track of the album imo

I've never played it so I wouldn't even know what that means. But I stand by my position on Dream No More being fucking great.

More of an insider joke of Xenoblade fans, because Skypunch loves to go into threads on it and complain about the game there.

Liking it. Now That We're Dead is kinda slow but I guess it's the straightforward song of the album.

Wow at the beginning of ManUNkind

Hope the production on the disc 3 tracks are as good as the disc 1/2 leaks. Just has me more hyped for my deluxe edition

Load is my second favourite Metallica album (behind Puppets), so all of these comparisons are making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The album feels very natural. It doesn't sound forced, or like they were trying to recapture their old sound (which was definitely the case with Death Magnetic). It's like a new Metallica.

I like a couple of songs, but I think its their weakest album. Don't consider St.Anger an album.

Yeah, St.Anger was a complete misstep.

Only song on that album I kinda like is Sweet Amber.

Absolutely. The whole thing about them needing to do another Methul album so prove to fans that they still got it is so dumb. They got nothing to prove.

They made four exceptional metal albums in the 80's. That's enough.

EDIT: Holy fucking shit. ManUNkind...riffage

I feel like the album could have used an extra ballad. We get a small taste of that Metallica ballad feel, but not nearly enough for me.

I really dig the production, I can finally crank it to 11 without destroying both my speakers and ears.

While I love Death Magnetic the production was really bad.

Created this thread just so we can talk about everything HTSD related instead of using the "new song released" thread

I torrented their entire catalog including live recordings in FLAC a couple of years ago out of spite, though in retrospect it seems fitting.

Master of Puppets is one of the best metal albums of all time.

All done. Need some time to process all this, but man I am in shock, didn't think they could deliver so hard.

If this is their last album they went out swinging like a boss.

Listening. This is sounding like a successor to Load, the PROPER successor, that is!

Not a bad thing at all.

Finding these comparisons to Load strange given the three singles don't remind me of Load at all.

Won't listen until my deluxe vinyl set gets here next week. But, I'm super curious now.

The singles are not representative of the rest of the album. Pretty much everything is mid-tempo.

I've heard everyone gushing about Spit Out The Bone. How was it?
