After three days of listening, I can confidently say I love this album.

Favorite tracks (no order):

Spit Out the Bone
Am I Savage?
Halo On Fire
Dream No More
Moth Into Flame
Now That We're Dead
Atlas, Rise!

I enjoy all of the tracks to some extent, but those seven have captured my heart. Thank god the production on Hardwired is much better than Death Magnetic. I also can't get over how good James sounds on this album. Fucking beast.

EDIT: But Confusion is really good too! Argh!!!

Never before have I giggled so much listening to a Metallica album. I enjoy most of the songs for their sound but damn, some of these lyrics are baaad. They're trying too hard to connect with teens and 20somethings.
Maybe I'm just old.

Okay i was gonna wait until i got the new cd in my hand, for the rest, i only listened to the first 2 songs released but now they've done videos for everything i want to watch them all.

Do it - the album's fucking incredible. It's really displays and showcases all the Metallica eras musically - best they've done since Black.

I'm with you, I'm pretty sure I love it as well. Only two songs do almost nothing for me: Murder One and Here Comes Revenge.

Revenge has, what feel like to me, a somewhat phone died in chorus. The verses are cool but the way hetfield just howls on and on about revenge is boring to me. Murder One isn't bad, I just am not connecting with it.

Other than those two though there is a lot to like on this record. Oddly enough after watching the videos ManUNKind is making a pretty strong push for my second favorite song after Halo. That song is just so evil sounding I love it.

Wow, the Hardwired Live in Minneapolis on Disc 3 is fucking amazing, that's how they should produce their live sound from now on. Lars killed it.

Murder One: Yup, really cool video

Spit out the bone:... Yeah it's a bit weird and low budget but I liked the narrative.

Lords of Summer: Cool song and all right video

After that email saying there was a delay and having never received a tracking number, I logged on to their site for some info. Turns out my deluxe box set is out for delivery today. Get hype, bitches!

Murder One video is fantastic. Too bad the song is just kinda eh. Not bad, but nothing really amazing either. Lemmy deserved a better song :/

I did like the 'Tears of a Clown' song Maiden wrote as a tribute to Robin Williams tho.

Murder one and Am I Savage? are the only songs I can't get into. Everything else is absolute quality. I really loved Death Magnetic though so I'm going to have to give it a few more listens to see if I prefer it, production aside.

They did? Kind of obvious when you read the lyrics, but I never knew it was specifically for Robin.

As for Murder One. The song is perfect for Lemmy. Dirty and heavy, with a straight flow.

Listening to Dream No More on decent speakers...dat riff near the end! Sounds thick as fuck. So glad they decided to mix Rob's bass properly this time, a lot of the riffs in this album wouldn't have had half the impact if they didn't.

Excited for the album to release tonight on iTunes. Can't wait to hear what you guys have been talking about. Didn't want to spoil myself before the release except for the 3 pre release songs I really like.
