Let's not get too ahead here, liking Borat is equivalent to that guy in your office or school who used to do Austin Powers impressions in the 90s. It was funny at first, then kind of tiring, then loathesome and now it's ironically funny again.
So one thing I've noticed recently is a resurgence in Borat memes on both social media, Reddit and other forums etc.
They've always been around. But now they're around more than ever. I asked one of my friends why he just used a Borat meme in the year of our lord 2014 and his reply was pretty simple.
"You seen Ali G: Rezurection man? Just reminded me of how funny Borat used to be"
One trick pony I was thinking. Peaked at the movie, and we as a society moved on... But there are some Borat skits which will always be classic to me. Like the dating service one.
But is this show actually making an impression on people? Is it marking a slight cultural resurgence? Or am I making an assumption off of a small data size?
