Have any groups already said they're planning on subbing Beck?

I'm sure someone will. I was hoping Soldats would since there's a lot of fans in it, but they just dont have enough active members these days to start it with Monster, Tantei Gakuen Q and Keroro Gunso still going in Japan.

I want my beck episodes as fast as POSSIBLE.

Yeah, both Beck & Viewtiful Joe will be picked up by a half-dozen groups or so...

I just found this manga by a group called animewaves... they started at the end of June and are currently working on Chapter 3. I like the manga so far, but at this rate we won't see the full first volume until Tokyo Game Show '05 happens OR it's licensed and released here. Whichever comes first.

Can we make a list of all the big anime shows coming this fall?

So far the most anticipated I think are:

1) Beck
2) Bleach
3) Gundam SEED: Destiny
4) Viewtiful Joe

Oh and...

Rena Misaki was a normal girl in high school in the small town of Otogi. But lately she is being tormented by sex-hamsters (little hamster like imps that cause greatly increased sexual desire). they had been banished from the village long ago by a priest. But somehow they have returned and have taken an interest in Rena. And if that wasn't enough trouble, they are starting to spread. Rena as to find a way to get rid of them and have a normal life, before she ends up sleeping with all the guys around her.

I really wish there were timely Keroro Gunso/Sergeant Frog updates. Something about the sarge being obsessed with manga and gundam fandom to the point of interfering with his world domination plans that just cracks me up every time.

I'm just hoping against hope that Beck anime does not become woefully crap due to the whole aspect of a band. How will they conceive such a hidden talent within an indie band that no one really cares about??

Maybe this is just due to me loving the manga so much that I hope nothing else gets destroyed.

The problem is that there's so much on-screen text that timing/typesetting is incredibly difficult.. and that aspect is also done by the other group in their joint, UA, who aren't exactly that fast either. Since it's such a tough show to sub well, most everyone expected it would just go unsubbed.

The guys from RaspberryHeaven told me about it and they were excited that a sub of episode 6 came out of Kerorororororroorororo but no 5 from the group. I went to the groups IRC channel where they said the reason they didn't do 5 was it wasn't in the manga. Apparently for their sub of 6, they just took the Tokyopop translated manga word for word and filled in any blank spots. No one in their group actually knows Japanese.

That being said, if they DO get a translator, then maybe we'll see some faster releases.

Haven't you seen To-y? That rocked and it's the same core concept.

Chrono: Someone compared it to Ebichu, but I don't think it's anything like that. Still, interesting so far.

That's the saddest thing I've ever heard. Hell, that's worse than AnimeJunkies using Korean scripts. I pray no one downloads it.

Yeah, I left the channel and never returned. The group name is something tied to the anime... I can't remember right now off the top of my head... but you'd know it when you saw it. :)

Man, I haven't thought about To-y in ages.

It's pretty good in a "Let's stick it to The Man! Down with corporate rock! God, we sound so 80s it hurts!" sort of way.

Beck's first episode airs next week, and I imagine a few others air the same week.
Yeah, Bleach airs on Tuesday, the day before Beck does. And Gundam SEED Destiny is next Saturday, the 9th. Seems like a big week for debuts.

I think Viewtiful Joe airs the week after (the 12th I think).

Sheesh! And here I thought that sort of thing went out with the days of Arctic Animation
