Have you bought Primal Yet?

You should? Its awesome. Why buy bad games like WoW or Halo 2, when Primal is available?!?

You've blown your load now. No amount of fanboying will make this stinker anything other than an overpresented bomb with bad combat.

Yet so many of you spooge over DoA U? Haha, arguments on gameplay carry little weight at GA. Most of you have shown how bankrupt you are when it comes to taste.

I have Buffy, fantastic game. However Primal has a better story, visuals, and atmosphere.

I'm with you on this one. The combat isn't that great, but the rest of the game is top notch. I don't know why people went ape over Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time when Primal had the better visuals, cutscenes, voice acting, story, and even gameplay... at least in my opinion. I bought both games on the same day about two weeks ago, so that's why I'm comparing them. Prince of Persia is a total borefest, I see nothing special about it at all.

Grizz: There's a collective movement against the game. I find it funny the gaming community has no trouble flip flopping on big name titles but Primal, a game thats 5 bucks, must be cursed forever.

I dont trust this forum for gaming anymore, most of them are insane.

I recently bought the game that followed Primal: Ghosthunter. Not too bad, actually. Like a modern and more serious Ghostbusters.

MAF i support you! I own Primal and i think it's a underrated game really. The atmosphere and story is there, the main flaw is the controls but nothing to scrap the experience really.
I like the transformations and the moves it gives you. I bought that at 14$ last summer and at this price, this game is golden.

The combat is ON PAR with that of Soul Reaver 1, and only slightly worse than Soul Reaver 2's. The adventure/puzzle aspects are par or even better than Soul Reavers, and the story is just as good and the voice acting is fitting and excellent.

Its just bizzare the levels of acceptance this forum holds. Bunch of Flip Flopping Swiftboaters!

Yeah, I don't quite get it. Prince of Persia is short as hell, doesn't really look that good, has a bad combat system, has no bosses or just sadly lame ones, and is pretty easy. But people still wanted this as GOTY 2003? I finally played that crap and I can't even imagine anyone comparing that shit to Ico. Don't let some damn filter cloud your judgement, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is NOT on the level of Ico. Not in any area at all, just no!

Yes, I've turned into a Prince of Persia hater now. What was so special about The Sands of Time? Maybe there was a glitch that caused me to skip the section that wasn't easy as hell and just pushing the x button near a ledge...and yes, I passed most of those vision spots.

I don't give a shit about combat or graphics on their own. I'm looking at it as a pure gameplay experience. And I've just had more fun with Primal.

PoP has a lot of nostalgia backing it. Newer gamers will also like it to gain cred with more experienced gamers.

"YEAH THE PRINCE IS BACK! THIS IS AWESOME!"

I played the demo, wasnt moved to get the full game.

Primal is an ok game, does some things very well (namely graphics and sound), and some things pretty mediocre (pacing and gameplay). Definately worth $5-$10, but I'd have never bought it brand new.

I found Primal to be a pretty good game too. Picked up the limited edition version for £20 on launch day, and it was worth every penny. Gameplay is nowhere near as poor as people are making out, though that's probably to be expected since many of them haven't spent extended play time with it (often the big problem with hating on a game).

My complaints would be occasional glitchiness (managed to leave the game world at one point, having not saved for quite a while...) and the swimming sections. Presentationally it's top-notch, story and characters are great, the combat is simplistic but fun, especially later in the game, and all round I found it a more enjoyable game than, say, the original Buffy.
