Wow, I opened up a few old files from my college days on my computer today. Wow. While I did well in school, I was surprised by how mediocre a lot of the stuff seemed to me today (granted, a couple of essays I looked at were related to co-op semesters that were pass/fail and the effort probably reflected that somewhat)

Still, seems like there was a little bit of going-through-the-motions happening. I got my piece of paper, though, and I guess that's the important thing

Whenever I look at my old school work (I've kept ALL my work, since grade 1), I feel dumb because I've forgotten everything I learnt in past years (well, at least in high school and university).

I think it's far more interesting to look at your work from the elementary school days. See a burgeoning intelligence that was stifled by alcohol consumption later on.
