Heihachi finally unlocked in T5

He's got his T4 diaper as a customizable item. :D

i hope he still has that running evade. I wonder how it'll tie into the story. Figure if a cliff with jagged rocks can't kill you, a giant bomb man can't either.

He got blasted back in time to Soul Calibur 2, Then returns for Tekken 5.

Kurichan over at TZ was kind enough to translate Hei's story.

Kurichan said:
The CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu and the sponsor of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 was Heihachi Mishima.

Soon after suffering a defeat at the hands of Jin Kazama at Hon-Maru, Jack soldiers belonging to an unknown faction attacked without warning. Kazuya and Heihachi both teamed up and engaged the Jack soldiers, but because of Kazuya’s betrayal, Heihachi was caught in the Jacks’ suicide attack.

A normal man would have perished in the heat of an explosion as great as the one that erupted, but Heihachi was no normal man, his body was superior to that of a normal man’s.

One month later, Heihachi got wind of someone else running the Mishima Zaibatsu and news of the upcoming The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Although his body was badly broken, Heihachi healed at a rate much faster than any normal man. By the time of the tournaments opening he was completely healed.

“Who the hell thinks he/she can run the Mishima Zaibatsu as well as I have! I haven’t handed it over to anyone!”

NO! He is the father of Jin Kazama and the guy who started the Tekken Tournament.

No, he was in SC2 for the PS2 and he isn't Jin's father. He is Kazuya's father and Jin's grandfather.

Hahaha, that's such retarded shit, even for a fighting game plot. ^_^
Nothing beats Ling Xiaoyu's story for Tekken 5:

Ling is a high school student who is on a personal mission to save the Mishima family.

In the previous tournament, ling was aved from the evil plans of Heihachi by Yoshimitsu, who taught her the history of the Mishima family. Hearing this, Ling began to believe that the root of all misfortune surrounding the Mishimas started with Heihachi's cruel upbringing of Kazuya.

When Ling heard of the death of Heihachi, a tear came to her eye. "If only I could turn back time..." Ling said with a hint of sadness and regret.

Later, Ling happens to meet a brilliant scientist who claims that he can make a time machine as long as he gets the funding for development.

Under the condition that she will be first to use the machine, Ling pulls out the wadded scrap of paper in her pocket... an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
:D :lol

Second. I mean "but Heihachi was no normal man, his body was superior to that of a normal man’s". Yeah, so why start off the game by "Heihachi is dead"? Stupid.

i thought that was Raven that said that. Raven's shown watching the explosion and then hits a button on his handsfree to eject the mic.

Yeah, it is Raven reporting it to the mystery organization he works for.

Besides just being a plot twist, the point of Heihachi's "death" was to set up the new owner of the Zaibatsu and Jinpachi as boss.

The diaper costume isn't in the game and isn't a custom item. He has the tiger gi and the Hakama from T3. I would have rather had the pimp suit he wore in the T4 intro instead of the Hakama.

Sweet, my favourite character is back from the dead... wait, not really, but still he's back!

Does anyone know if Tekken 5 is actually going to be released this month (on the 25th?)? A lot of people over at the Tekken Zaibatsu forums seems to be convinced over that date... And is the Collector's Edition making its way here to Canada (anyone up here preorder one yet?)? I read someone say something about it not being available in Canada on the TZ forums. :/

Yes, the collector's edition bundle is available here in Canada. I just pre-ordered it at my local EB just a few mins ago. :D

I just called Blockbuster (since I have a lot of store credit) and asked if I can pre-order the Collector's Edition and the guy said only the regular Tekken 5 shows up on their system. So he is going to have to ask the manager and see if they can special order one for me, hopefully I get a call back in a couple of days with some good news (or I'll just get it from EB).

Hmm, now that I think about it the guy only asked me for my name (forgot to ask for my number?).... Is he going to look through the system and hope for only one guy with my name or do they have call display? How the hell is he going to call me back? :p

Everytime I see Heihachi, I have to wonder if this is Namco's little shot at Nintendo's former President Hiroshi Yamauchi. They are both reputed to be evil, heartless and immortal. Given Namco and Nintendo's rivalry that Yamauchi and their president (Do not know his name, nor if it is even the same person) in the past had... Who knows?

I could SO see Yamauchi throwing his grandson off a cliff.

I kind of lost interest with this series with the bland play of T4. Lets hope this is better.
