A little background. My experience to electronic music is pretty much confined to being in a club in 1995-1999 rolling my balls off .. liking the music, but never asking "who is this .. what is this?"

Fast forward to today. I have started jogging again .. and need some music to make me forget that I am abusing my old body. I have tried random lists of what people like .. and alot of it is obscure or too indie.

I need some "pop" music. Mainstream stuff I might have heard in a club from the late 90's. To make it a bit easier, here is some of the stuff I like/have: Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and some lasgo.

I have checked most all of the "compilation" CD's that have been released .. I still am shooting for a couple more hours worth of music. Thanks.

Nearly the entirety of the Run Lola Run soundtrack should be fine. And, for the hell of it, maybe some mixing and matching from Daft Punk's Homework and Discovery.

300chf ain't shit to me
If you want real mainstream, pop-like stuff/dance, you should check out artists like Sylver, 4 Strings, Groove Coverage, and Ian Van Dahl... they're all pretty similar to Lasgo, which you mentioned.

If you like Orbital, I'd say go more with progressive trance. I would recommend James Holden, Markus Schulz, Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg, Matthew Dekay, Subsky... If you want to go more of a house-sound with it, try Deep Dish or Infusion.

For epic/melodic trance, I suggest you check out the article here: http://analogik.com/article_trance.asp

Hope this helps, and happy listening! :)

Thanks for the link! I clearly prefer progressive trance (I just never knew it had a name) ... everything I find from Armin Van Buuren is awesome ...

Thank you to anyone else who has contributed some ideas.

I strongly recommend Daan - Housewife. It's just such an awesome song. I really like Felix Da Housecat too.

Yeah I did, I've got hardcore and house mixes floating around too - what can I say, I'm a genre hopping whore, always have been. If the tracks are good, I want the vinyl.:D

I've done a new 18 track, 35 minute hardcore set I can upload soon if you're interested.

I have the same problem. I love Techno / Electronica. Yet most of the 'recommendations' I get turn out to be crashing disappointments.
