I've tried it by hand and w/ maple but it still doesn't seem to be the correct answer, please help!!

by hand I got:

Maple 10 got...

Neither are correct >_<

Haha, I have a feeling the answer is something like 3x^2, and both you and Maple somehow screwed up, and got those humongous results.

Plug in the formula for cos x in terms of exponentials.

e^ix = cos x + i sin x

e^(-ix)=cos x - i sin x

so that

2cos x = e^ix + e^(-ix)

Then it should be easy...

I don't understand of what the cosine is being taken. What is that symbol? If it's theta... is theta just a constant? And if it's its own variable, the question doesn't really make sense.

sort of what I did... I used an integral I found in the back of a textbook. Otherwise I'm stumped.

omega is part of the integral, as its being multiplied by (t-3) but I FINALLY got it :D Maple can go suck a nut, my answer was pretty much right, it was just a simple mistake because of my poor handwriting :lol
