Our PoliSci teacher didn't give us any restrictions, besides length and such. It can be on whatever I'd like, within reason. It's a current international issues/conflict resolution class.

I'm thinking I'd like it to be on America and international relations. But I would need to have a specific thesis from that.

It can be positive (good role), negative (detrimental role), or neither - just the nature of the relationship.

Any ideas? And I could always do something different, like to do with Israel/Palestine, for instance.

The role PMO's (Private Military Organizations) could hold in the future. I haven't come up with a thesus since I won't have to write a poli sci paper until next year but I've always thought it would make a interesting and relevent topic. Specifically privitizing the military, using local smaller forces. These groups could go into the hotspots and pacify the region with out loss of US forces. The push to build a force in Iraq is similar.

There is many arguments against the idea, mostly failed past attempts by the CIA, which you could include and argue the point either way.

America's relations and dependance on trade with China, and their failure to investigate and put an end to the human rights violations being committed in the country.

mac, that sounds interesting. The only problem would be that I'd find it pretty difficult to find heavy resources for such a specific topic. I need 5-7 books. :\
