Hey everyone, thanks in advance:

I've been trying to figure out how to get my cheap universal remote to get along with my PStwo (which has a built-in IR on the front). Does anyone know how I'd go about doing that?

I don't have the instruction manual to the system, and the only Sony DVD code that came with the remote didn't work. Any hints or suggestions are welcome.

The sony made multifunction remote I have works fine with my PStwo as-is, and I don't think Sony likes changing their IR codes much at all.

BTW, test using a button other than power. That won't work at all.

my sony DVD players remote works fine with my ps2.

just find some Sony codes and try them out. shouldnt be too hard.

Yeah, I've about given up. The univ remote I have isn't made by Sony and the two or three codes I found online that I tried did nothing for me.

Juice am stuck-having-to-reach-three-inches-for-his-controller Cry.

D'oh! I'll have to re-test my universal remote then. I was trying to use the power button and none of the codes worked.
