I bought a copy of Phantom Brave: Limited Edition through Toys 'R' Us online (which is actually Amazon). The first time I took a look at it, I thought they had sent me the regular Phantom Brave and not the LE. I would figure out a couple hours later that I was wrong about this, but before I did, I initiated a return through Amazon. I got an email which sent me to a UPS page to print out postage, which I did.

Then I realized I was stupid, because I actually did get the LE and just didn't realize it because there was only a tiny little "Special Edition" emblem buried on the back cover.. and I had just shorted TRU a good chunk of change for shipping.

So at this point, I go to cancel the return. I didn't think they would have shipped the game already, because the email specifically said they wouldn't replace it until they had received the item.

But they did.. they shipped a second copy of Phantom Brave: LE to me without waiting for the replacement. It now shows up as an Amazon.com order in my name, with the price as $0.00.

Should I: a) be honest about it and tell them I goofed and see if they can still cancel shipment, b) return the game without comment, or c) keep both copies?

I would keep them both and them attempt to justify it and make myself feel less guilty by at least thinking about them first before buying another game elsewhere.

You should wait and see if they contact you or charge you anything. Chances are things will catch up with you as Amazon don't strike me as an incompetant company.

However if they dont notice, its not your obligation to go helping them, phoning/emailing them etc. Wait a few weeks I say. Then sell it on ebay!
