it looks good but honestly if there going to charge for you to add Hitman 1 & 2 to 3 again I'm skipping until they have a complete edition released further down the line.

I mean the contents there and I'm sure its all been reworked and all but still if you want to make a product worth buying it better just be included.

Looks fantastic and once again we are all getting a free upgrade for the first two games with all the new additions that are being introduced to part 3.

I mean, the games are 2 and 4 years old, is paying £7.99 for all that content so much to ask? Thats cheaper than any game would be officially after 2 or even 4 years, Titanfall 2 is currently £8.99 on a deep sale from its current RRP of £24.99 and that came out in 2016.

£3.50 for minimum 20 hours, but more likely 100's of hours of content if you want to actually see more than 5% of the content of the levels seems like a pretty good deal to me. Then another £3.50 for the same amount again.

Its not like its just the same content as well, in H2 they reworked all the lighting in H1 and gave it all the AI upgrades from H2 like NPCs seeing you in mirrors. In H3 they said they reworked the animations which is a much bigger deal imo.

There probably is a complete edition with all of it available at launch.

Wasn't the Hitman 1 content free for Hitman 2 if you already owned it? I definitely didn't pay for it again.
 
Chongqing looks great! But fucking 1080p video... sigh, why IOI why?! Also great news about the graphical improvements translating back into Hitman 1 & 2 that's actually REALLY really good. Kinda wish more sequels worked that way.

Yes it was. The clusterfuck started when IOI made Hitman 2016 free on Epic Games Store but did not allow upgrading your version of Hitman 2018 if you owned it on Steam.
 
Sign me the F up. Love the Hitman series.

Will start working on those challenges when this comes out. Only have one challenge #1 the world on XBL (On episodic Hitman 1) need moooooore lol...

Already confirmed it will have Ray Tracing options in future updates.

IO Interactive are one of the best developers out there at the moment. They're magicians. I can't even blame them for releasing on Epic Store first, tbh.
 
So how does the hitman 1 and 2 convergence work?

Do you buy hitman 3 then pay and extra £7.99 for hitman 1 and 2 editions? If so, I'm onboard! Deal!
 
I was planning on beating Hitman 2, but now that it's going to be in this edition I'll just beat it once it gets enhanced. This looks great.

Not clear yet. We only know the progression from Hitman 2 Steam to Hitman 3 EGS can be done, but we don't have any info as if any other combination (Steam > Steam ? Stadia > EGS ? or hell even PS4 to PS5) will be possible.
 
So, wait, I haven't played Hitman 2 yet, do I need to get the third installment if I want to enjoy the graphical upgrade?
 
is the shooting mechanics/feel improved since the first game? i know it's a stealth game but i'm not going to reset each time i messed up something and want to be able to shoot myself out of a the situation if possible.

They are about the same. You can technically still shoot your way out but its hard when you get the whole level against you. Its definitely not a Rambo game.
 
Underrated studio, really love their brand of sandbox gameplay. I think it's about time for me to get back into the series, skipped 2....

i see, it was good enough i guess, but the headshots didn't feel satisfying with the pistols/handguns, i'm more of a panther style kind of guy and i prefer to kill as many people as possible without breaking stealth.

If you use the same login to the IOI servers when playing for the 1st time you should be fine.
 
Maybe for owners of Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 the upgrades will be free, and Hitman III will serve as a launcher for the other games (episodes/maps).
Love the series, been playing since Silent Assassin (had to hide from my parents lmao)
 
Hope it's polished like Hitman 1. Hitman 2 it's fan favorite but for me it was a disapointment in terms of various details and map quality - bigger and more doesn't mean better.

Because IOI are now an indie studio, to keep up this level of detail and craft they've had to auction off certain parts of the game on a deal, I mean just look at this...

VR = PlayStation Exclusive as Sony paid for it
Ray Tracing = Intel based for their GPUI line up because Intel paid for it
PC Version = EPIC Store exclusive as EPIC paid for it
Physical Release = Will be handled by various companies and whoever helped pay for marketing, including, Square-Enix, who they split from

I wonder if Sony really paid for this though? They are barely supporting PSVR 1 on PS5, like what's the point?
