Yesterday, HMV (accidently) put up Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (PS2) for £14.99. There followed a mass buying session on another forum, where at least 100 copies were bagged for the insanely low price. HMV have since altered the price to £29.99, the usual price in UK.

For the Americans among us, we're talking $26 for the game.

So has anyone else taken advantage of pricing errors/mad discounting?

Never done it with a game but I've picked up a few cheap DVDs because of pricing errors. Play.com made a mistake with Angel series 4 (priced it at £45 instead of £65) and I ordered it. They honoured it and sent it to me, which they didn't have to do

Its abit dodgy cos they dont charge you until they dispatch and have all right to cancel your order unless you accept full price, at which point you're likely to cancel it yourself.. now you're preorder is screwed up if that happens.

Good luck though! I forgot my password for HMV, couldnt retrieve it and emailed the slackers asking for help and didnt get a reply. So now I cant log in whatsoever. Poor if you ask me.

Don't know if they'll deliver though

However, as a gesture of goodwill, on this occasion only, we are going to honour order placed for the item, but will be restricting this offer to one per customer.

That's cool. Respect to HMV for doing that as an act of goodwill. They're going to lose a fortune on this though...probably £10+ per game they have to sell at £15

Oh well, I would have been getting it for XBOX anyway seeing as pro evo 4 lagged like hell on ps2 and I'm guessing the same will happen in this......

Hopefully they have removed the bug where you can't add a second player to an away game in master league mode. >.<
