Yeah. I had pretty much not played a game since Ninja Gaiden very seriously(other than some KOTOR 2 time anyhow). All of a sudden, whamo! Games galore are everywhere. Picked up Phantom Dust, picked up a psp and lumines, got Jade Empire, psychonauts and others that I'm stoked about getting. I'm looking back and thinking about getting God of War and some Alien Hominid love too.

Damn it. Games are good and fun again! What will I hate? I know! The New York Mets.

Don't have a gamecube, won't get fooled again! That's not true. When this gen is done and over with, and you can pick up a used cube for like $50, I'll get one and all the good games(RE4, Zeldas, etc) again. But God of War looks badass.

Drinky, I'm probably gonna do that starting this week. Still on chapter 3 and tweaking my arsenal, I wanna have a wider selection and some more playtime under my belt. Also, I won't be able to talk as I no longer have a communicator, but I'm all for throwing down on some Dust.

this has been the best generation of gaming for me besides the span when psx had a shitload of rpgs coming out. I don't have nearly all the money to buy all of the good stuff coming out.

I pretty much hate most racing games but decided to give a couple a try for PSP based on how well these games were received. Ridge Racer and Wipeout.

Ridge Racer is the shit. Seriously. It has been such a long time since I've played a racing game I've actually enjoyed and want to keep on playing. The drifting system is genious and when you get some of the higher class cars unlocked you go blazing around the scenery! Such an amazing game. Wipeout is pretty good but too tough for my tastes. I get beat down all the time by enemy weaponry. It gets pretty ridiculous at times. I'll get back to it after I have my Ridge Racer fix but I think that'll be a long time. Ridge Racer has displaced Lumines as my favorite PSP game. I can't stop playing Ridge Racer!!!

This week is going to rock for releases too. Looking forward to getting into the Jade Empire! Bioware can do no wrong! I'd like to get my hands on the Psychonauts Xbox demo but the magazine isn't in stores yet!

Get it for sure. Then wait for RE4 on PS2 if it turns out to be decent port. I didn't want to suggest MGS3 because I know you hate the series with passion, but even then I'd give it a rental at least if I were you (and if you do that, don't forget to play at least a bit past the opening title/credit sequence) before you give up). I don't remember if you only hated MGS2, but if you liked first MGS, you'd almost certainly love the 3rd one.

I seriously need to play some Phantom Dust. I got it during the week PSP came out, played about 5 hours the first day I got it and never touched it again PSP has been eating up my time

Pop quiz: let's say that, hypothetically, you had the money for either Jade Empire or Psychonauts... what would you do?

Now, I haven't PLAYED either. But I do know that Bioware makes FACE ROCKINGLY AWESOME games. And so does Tim Schaefer. I expect both will be all kinds of ass whompingly cool, but I expect to get more play time and fun out of Jade Empire.
