Holy god, SC2 is so amazing.

Drinky Crow's thirst for competition has got me back into the saddle with SC2, and man, wtf. If only Namco could make Tekken as good as Soul Calibur is they'd never have a problem.

All of it just flows so fuckin well, and looks sooooooo damn good. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And in advance replies to yawns or stfu MAF or haha MAF at it again, go play SC2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Started playing this again recently. I was into Tekken 5 for quite a while, but now I'm remembering how much better Soul Calibur is.

PS2, Link is just a silly extra character edition. However its the main reason gamecube owners bought the game. I have the Xbox edition cause I have the Xbox hooked up component. The ps2 edition I play at Drinky's house and its awesome. Heihachi is a mean mofo.

GCN controller sux for playing the game. Link is kinda interesting, but he's really cheap and not worth it in the end.

great game indeed - tho u sound like u just had a vic and a few beers

p.s - ivy owns you and your uncle

i agree. SC2>>>tekken *

Hell motherf'n yea. Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter series only 3D fighting games I can really get into. Other ones are fun but can't really see myself dedicating much if any time to 'em. Then again, I will always be 2D for life.

I'm more into Tekken 5 now, because I've been playing SC2 at the arcades for about a year now and it's becoming a bit boring. So for me Tekken 5>SC2

I still play it everytime I go to the arcades though. Taki rox. And I'm really looking forward to SC3.

This is one of the few 3D fighters I can stomach. I kick so much ass with Link, but I really ought to get better at using some of the more universal characters.

I agree that the controller is lacking, but if you like fighting games you should own a stick anyways.

And yes , I know, if you REALLY like fighting games you'd own a PS2- so no need to troll attempt there.;p

Yeah SC2 is great, until one of your friends gets really good with Link. What a cheap little elf, spamming projectile weapons like mad, spamming rapid fire sword attacks that will do 50% damage if you get caught in... I hate that fucker. :lol Playing SC2 with a big group of people is a guaranteed ruckus, so much emotional rollercoaster in that game, holy shit.

Unfortunately, owning a stick for the GC really isn't worth it for obvious reasons.

True. Though I guess if you could find one cheap enough, it would be O.K.

There are some fighters worth playing, and if you only have a cube, then by all means buy one. Why torture yourself with that controller?

You don't have to own a "Gamecube Stick" to play SC2 Cube with an arcade stick.

There's an easy way involving buying a little something at a store, which I am 100% against.
And a fun way involving doing your own electronics work which I loooove to do.

Point is, platform specific hardware never has to enter the picture. This is true for all venues.
But I'm sure you knew that.

Link's an extremely fun character to play as, and the WaveBird is damn fine for SC2, but any version with Taki (that is to say, any version) wins!
