I hit a royal flush on Pokerroom playing the $4-$4 NL tables. I started out with $20 2 hrs ago and I'm now at $700.

Holy fuck, I can't even believe it. Anyone here from PokerRoom?

I still can't believe how wrong it would have been not to go to the $4 tables when everybody there had about $300 more than me. I went in at $80, went to $250, and I still can't believe how lucky I was to hit a royal flush out of all things. At Pokerroom, whenever you get a royal flush in a ring game, the site pays you 100 times the big blind. For me that was a $400 bonus.

I'm getting an Xbox 360 with that. There is a god.

Also, never gamble in hopes of getting money--gamble for fun, and set a defined BUDGET.

As in "Once I lose x amount of $ I'm done" and keep that level--even when your total amount of money is higher.

When I gamble, I think of it as paying for entertainment (at the worst). If I can spread $20 over 3 hours at the casino, that's awesome, better deal than most movies!

And if I'm up, well, all the better.
