Tim Schuerewegen has successfully tricked the DS into thinking his computer is another DS. The hack allows a computer equipped with a wireless card of a certain chipset to send *.ds code to any DS with download play activated.

This is a huge step for the DS community and means that we could be very close to tunnelling software by real developers that can actually develop DS software to the benefit of the DS community.

It basically takes the place of a physical pass-through

This is different neptunes, with the right type of wireless NIC you don't need that PassMe thingy, he uploaded his code to the DS wirelessly.

Just a while ago it was the only option., but now it isn't the case.
