EDIT: BTW, does this game support keyboard chat? Cause I still have that dumpy Ascii keyboard for PSO 1&2. May as well get some mileage out of it...

Some more points:
The game is broadband only. Dial-up is not supported.
Keyboards are not supported - but the text input system is supposedly very simple.
Your beta data will not be usable in the final version.
Games have multiple routes and many story outcomes. It seems the idea is to keep each game quite short, but have many possible games. You get new characters and items each time that you can use.
God mode looks like a blast

A late bump to say I mailed Chunsoft about romaji support, as I was a bit concerned we might not be able to input English through the on-screen keyboard. Just received a reply and it's a-ok. So us gaijin are good to go.

They also said they've not decided whether to release it outside Japan yet (no surprise there).

Online play has a really useful feature I haven't seen before in other online games - you can set a mascot to play while you go AFK. So if another quester comes up to you and needs help, your mascot will join their party and help them battle. Pretty nifty.
