What music do you tend to listen to while working or doing homework? I seemingly always fall back on bands such as ISAN, Boards of Canada and other lull electronic groups.

I've been spinning some Album Leaf recently. Kinda reminds me of mix between Sigur Ros and M83 sometimes... especailly when I swear the the lead singer for Ros suddenly just starts singing. (one of my recent finally have some extra cash purchases).

It depends on the mood I am in. I just listen to my yahoo radio station most of the time, or my ipod.....right now I'm into the Rambo and Rocky soundtrack, because I'm a bit obsessed with training and all that shite. Usually though, it's Elvis Presley....or nin...or Manson. Tom Jones, too.

Depends on what kind of homework I'm doing. If I'm programming or doing bullwork math, then it can be anything really. Usually something upbeat to keep me going, but it really doesn't matter too much. I find that if I'm problem solving, I can tune out the music just long enough to work it out, then use it as energy to plow through some calculations that don't really require much thought.

If I'm studying, or it requires more thought, then maybe some soft classical (Chopin works fine) or some other obscure quiet stuff that I won't be tempted to sing along to. I've got some cuban music that we had at my old job that works quite nicely.

Lately it's been: M83, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Radiohead, Opeth, The Doors
This man has the right spirit!

Most of the time I listen to instrumentals or whatever.. used to draw fucking amazingly well to Yoko Kanno's majestic Macross Plus soundtracks at 2am. But lately I've switched to a lot of Joe Hisaishi and the like.. Kenji Kawai, Taku Iwasaki etc.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I can't listen to rock when I'm doing work, or anything with lyrics that you're meant to pay attention to for the most part.
