Hurst Directing House of the Dead Sequel

Bloody-Disgusting has learned that director Mike Hurst will helm House of the Dead 2, for which principal photography has begun in California.

The original, which was based on the best-selling video game from Sega, tells the story of a group of college students who go to a rave on a mysterious island and get more than they bargained for when they find themselves stalked by killer zombies and terrifying creatures intent on feasting on the flesh of the living. With only a few weapons and time running out, they take shelter in an ancient house, inside which they will uncover the secrets of the "House of the Dead".

The Lions Gate follow-up was written by Mark Altman, writer of the first film which was directed by Uwe Boll

This time, college kids go for a rave.... in an ABANDONED CAVE, WHICH TURNS OUT TO BE A BURIAL GROUND. :Shock :awe :woot

God dammit, I hate always having to defend Uwe Boll and this movie.. but.. I liked it. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great, but it was worth watching. Cripes. What were you people expecting out of this movie? A coherent plot perhaps? Nope, not here. Doesn't matter. Still enjoyable. :D

I liked that clips from the videogame were thrown into the movie. "Artistic", is the word I can think of for that.

No Uwe Boll?!?!?

It's hard to fathom, but his schedule for the next year or two is actually loaded. So he'll probably serve only as a producer, if he has any involvement in this at all.

"Don't come,don't come..."

"My God..."

You guys ever love to wacth cheese infested horror films? I dunno why but I'm attracted to them, the comedy value in them is often priceless. Plus I like the game series alot. I guess I like to be tortured yet entertained with poorly written storys and bare skined women as well.
