House Republicans put together bill asking Senate to do the bill.

The amendment would establish a reserve fund of at least $75 billion for tax credits to help the core constituency that propelled Trump to the White House: Americans between 50 and 64, who would see their premiums skyrocket under the current repeal plan. But the amendment would not set up the tax credits – it would instruct the Senate to do so, forcing House Republicans to take a vote on something the upper chamber would do later.

Paul Ryan screwing Senate Republicans to somewhat cover his own ass, masterful.

Senate to pass a resolution saying 'nuh-uh, you blink first'

Recursive legislation, congress headed towards an old fashioned software deadlock.

if they really don't want to do any actual work maybe they should just give it to the democrats so they can go back to complaining all day

yeah Ryan, i am sure that will go over well with party unity and getting them onboard with your, bill.

Sending your dirty unfinished work to the upper house of Congress is sure to be a winner.

McConnell, unlike Ryan, is actually good at being a leader so he's just going to look at this and laugh.

Basiclly trying to leave the option of throwing McConnel under the bus if the bill goes south.

"If only Seneate Republicans agreed to the amendment we could have repealed ObamaCare"

Does Ryan even care what people think about him anymore?

You would think he'd be smart enough to project how all this looks come midterms.

But nope.

The entire GOP is flailing around like a fish out of water now that they actually have to legislate.

They are all in deflecting mode because they all know this entire healthcare bill can destroy them later, and they want any plausible deniability of actually being for it.

But they also know they wont get another chance to do this without Reconciliation and not early in the Presidency.

"We are still trying to pass a 650 billion dollar tax cut for the rich. However, we have proposed a 75 billion dollar fund for older people.

Dear Senate, please figure out where to get that 75 billion."

This is so pathetic. No one wants to come out and admit there is no right-wing alternative to Obamacare because it is the right-wing alternative. Instead they will just push this shit around hoping someone else will take the bullet and kill this bill so they don't have to admit that they are liars.
