I hear they're pretty great. But same here, their music's sort of either there or it isn't; and it's rarely there.
Fucking do it. They're awesome live. There's all this power and shear madness live, and it makes the records look really, really tame (and sound really really weak) in comparison. I saw them last August for $6 in a tiny shithole bar, and it was one of the most fun shows I'd ever seen. They just tore through their 40 minute set, without stopping. Satomi does little interpretive dances to the songs while she plays, too, which is pretty hot. When we begged them for an encore, they got up on stage and played the first song again.
Don't miss them. I mean, even if you're hit or miss on their records, they're one of those bands that's like ten times better live. Seriously.

Um, probably one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Intepretive dance with a stuffed banana and strawberry? Check. Time pointing? Check. Ultra-tiny asian chick? Check?
And they definitely ound at least as good live as they do on records. Just watching them play, you will be amazed. The drumer WILL break sticks on every song.

yeah, in your neck of the woods...northsix is a club at, well, north 6 street. they have two dates there this month. i might go to the saturday one.
