How do I clear "auto-complete" fields in FireFox?

You know how a browser can remember what searches you made or what usernames you entered and present them in a dropdown list when you click on a text field? They can be easily cleared in IE but I can't figure out how to do it in FireFox... HELP

heh, yep.

Go Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> and press the Clear button for Saved Form Information

I think that should do it.

Do'h!

I clicked on everything in Options except Privacy! What was I thinking? :\

And good call on the PORN, heh.

Thanks.

there is also a paranoia firefox extension, it looks like a little key, you press it and a box comes up asking which things you would like to clear. has every option as a tick box.

If you want to clear the google search the easy way. Right click on the text field and select 'clear search history'. :lol You still are not safe tho, google tracks all your searchs FOR LIFE!

Is there any way to just turn the autocomplete feature off, asked in the i love firefox thread but no luck. Best i've been able to come up with is by clearing the history then it stops but once i visit a few sites it's back again. I know in IE once you switch it off it's gone but i can't find the switch.
