Whenever I enter a thread where someone posts an instagram link I only see the following. How can I have it show the actual post?

I think this happens when you block trackers or/and have an ad-blocker

Whitelist the site and you are good

Yeah, or certain image hosts too.

It sucks, but I mostly solved it by whitelisting them.

I have no idea. I can no longer see uploaded images because my work blocks all that stuff.

I can't see embedded Instagram or twitter/x posts. My Instagram app works fine though.

Delete instagram and don't click any of its links
