Well, I don't usually drink it (I always prefered tea) but today I am very sleepy and I need to keep myself awake. The fact is that I have one of those machines:

The question is:

How much time do I wait till I press down the piston ?

Edit: Problem solved. I waited 6-8 minutes and everything went fine...The problem is that is that perhaps it is a bit too strong...
Thanks anyways.

Judging by the size, i'd say 2-3 minutes. Owning a few French presses myself, i can give you full instructions.

1. Use one tablespoon of coffee for every 4 oz of hot (not quite boiling water).
2. Stir the coffee and water together for about 30-60 seconds using a plastic or wooden spoon. Metal and glass can chip the press.
3. Wait 2-3 minutes.
4. Press down slowly. The slower you press, the more flavor you'll extract. If it's hard to press down, you may have to restir the coffee and try again. This is especially true if you're using a finer grind than one for a press, like standard drip grind.

Edit: IBE!
