So, I was browsing the Xbox 360 store to grab a bunch of 360 exclusives that never got ported to PC before the store gets shut down and found myself scratching my head many times. I sold my Xbox 360 way back in 2013 and haven't bought a physical game for the platform since. However, there are games I distinctly remember having physically that I sold years ago that still show up in my owned content.

For instance, Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3 both show as owned but I know for a fact I never bought these games digitally. I only had physical editions. When I check my purchase history on the marketplace, they are nowhere to be found either. Where did they come from? How come I own them when I sold them over a decade ago?

Bonus question, since the store is getting closed, it means we will no longer be able to buy DLCs for Xbox 360 games, correct?

They are probably from games for gold. Those show up as owned games.

Gwg I would imagine? Anything you claimed in the past you own forever.

Or maybe you purchased gears 4? That game gave you gears 1-3 for free.

I did purchase Gears 4. Had no idea it also gave you 1-3 as well. Well, I guess that answers my question lol.

While this thread is open, any other recommendations that aren't available on PC?

Seriously. I was talking with my brother and he wanted to play Conker’s Bad Fur Day again. I told him about Rare Replay and the remake for Xbox, but the remake may be delisted. I can still see it, since I bought it, but the option to buy it as a gift isn‘t there.

Definitely Games with Gold. 90% of my Xbox digital library was acquired that way.
