How many discs is Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PS2)?

For some odd reason, I've got it in my head that it's a two-disc set, but the used copy I found today only has one.

it is 1.
if it was 2, and you only got 1 disc, you'd see a tray for another disc in the case.
It's in a Blockbuster case, not the standard PS2 stuff, so I couldn't be sure. Thanks.

But does the PAL version have the document save feature?

I can't imagine playing MGS2S without all of the levels being unlocked from the start. -_-;

Really? I thought somebody mentioned the feature was removed from the PAL version (where substance detects the document save and unlocks everything)
That's not true. I have the game and did that trick to get all the things unlocked so take it from me :D

And as an added added bonus, i'll tell you how many FPS the Xbox version runs in: 5

Serious? I played through MGS2 on PS2 and Xbox and I didn't see any more slowdown on the Xbox at all. In fact, the only difference was that the Xbox had better color separation.

Oh no, not this stuff again...

The box version has considerably more slowdown, reduction of quality on many special effects (mostly post filters during cutscenes), loss of texture quality due to compression, and fewer, less complex particle effects (rain especially). I did a very detailed comparison back when the XBOX version was released and those were the issues I found.
