I don't even know of a shop that would fix this kind of device.
Sending it back to Sony might be difficult. The card never got sent in, the reciept is long gone. And I'd have to think of some convincing reason that water got into the memory unit.
man, I feel for you, I spilled beer on my laptop a while ago. take it as far apart as you can and let it dry completely out. all it's moving bits probably means its fucked though.
This reminds me of the time when I am pretty sure my GBA was dunked in some water, or something extravagent. Let it air dry for a day and it worked perfectly fine.

Yes I even managed to revive a digital camera that fell into the sea, by means of a careful wash with non salted water. If you open it it will dry up faster of course.
