Oh man, you got me worried. It's kind of hard to justify Switch 2 at $450 when you can get a PS5 at that price.Switch OLED is $349. This thing won't cost less than 399. Realistically, I expect $450-$500

Why would you even compare this to a PS5?Oh man, you got me worried. It's kind of hard to justify Switch 2 at $450 when you can get a PS5 at that price.
LOLOLOL Slim profit margin at $500 on a 5 year old SOC on a 5 year old 8nm node with a garbage pale tier LCD? The BOM on this thing is gonna be like $200 assembled, packaged, and shipped. I don't even think Nintendo's usual Hollywood accounting (that frontloads the heavy R&D and manufacturing setup expenses instead of more fairly amortizing it over the generation's XXX million units) could pass $500 off as slim margin.I think it will be $500 with a slim profit margin for Nintendo which is a completely baseless assumption on my part.
It keeps them flexible for future price cuts if demand slows and gives some cushion if inflation continues at high rates.
Still..PS5 @$450..this shouldn't be a dime above $250
