When do you guys work if your morning routine is that late?We don't use a top sheet - just a blanket. I get up between 5-6am and straighten my side as best I can. My wife sleeps until 10:30. After she's up and moves to the living room, I have a late morning routine where I feed the dog, do the dishes, open the curtains, turn off the air purifier, and pull the blanket up over the pillows and get it square over the bed. I mainly do that because our dog likes to sleep on the foot of our bed during the day, and I don't want him getting the sheets hairy. He's a shed monster.
I switch out our sheet and pillow cases every weekend. and run them with the kid's laundry.
Not sure where I read this, but supposedly you shouldn't make your bed every day. The best way to keep dust mites down is to leave your bed unkempt, open the blinds/curtains and let sunlight in to hit your bed which will dry them up and kill them off. If you make your bed every day, it keeps the lower level of sheets the perfect breeding ground for the dust mites, unless you're also changing your sheets often.
My wife and I do it together as part of our daily routine. She gets upset if I do it without her.![]()
