How to kill Hornets?

You have to be really careful, especially with ceiling nests, but boiling water is a beautiful way to kill them.

I've also heard a pan of water plus some dish detergent, making it really soapy, will coat their wings so they can't fly off, then you just stomp them. But I'm of the kill it with fire (water) sort.

Yup boiling water. I second this

could you ship them to me? sorry if that's a weird proposition. i'm trying to build a nest in the wheel well of my car. pm me. i have pay pall.

I had 2 wasps trying to build the yearly nest outside my front door as well a few weeks ago. They showed up every afternoon building two separate nests, one new one and trying to reuse another. Instead of leaving them alone I went out with a can of bug spray (industrial strength that the local airport uses lol) and gave one a light blast and both flew off. Few hours later I noticed the other one was back and trying to rebuild but super agitated. Said F it since it came back and blasted that one two.

Never saw either wasp again.

I'm sure they will be back next year but when dealing with visible wasps, GET THEM BEFORE THEY ESTABLISH A NEST. If they already made a nest, call a professional to deal with them. Wasps/Hornets look for nesting spots late spring early summer, be on the look out for them. If you see them hovering around a spot for hours/days that means they found a spot where they want to build. Spray/kill the scouts so they do not start.
