For the life of me I can't understand why anyone deserves an Oscar or any recognition for The Wrestler.

Rourke was good, but Oscar worthy? Not even close.

Pretty terrible movie, mediocre at best, stupid plot and pretty bland in terms of writing.

Well, it's pretty much Jake The Snake Robert's story.

Anyone crying in front of the camera deserves an Oscar, or so is the general mentality.

There is an existing thread for this if you really cared for someone else's opinion and wanted to add to the discussion. Your negative opinion is not more special or important than anyone else's and does not really warrant a thread on its own. For the record, I still haven't seen this movie.
