Azih said:The opening scene will show flashes of wind Waker. Then Adult Link with tats and everything will jerk out of his alcholic stupor lying in a bed next to a sleeping naked Malon. "That was some fucked up dream!" Link will mutter as he struggles to his feet and pulls on his tunic. He stumbles out and starts getting on his faithful steed Pain when suddenly an Octork attacks him.
Link being hung over and all can't put up a fight and gets pinned to the ground. Then Gannon comes out pulling Zelda by her hair, rapes her in front of Link then cuts her head off. Tosses it at Link and strides away laughing.
Link finally breaks free of the Octork rushes over to Zelda's head, cradles it with muffled sobs then raises it over his head and screams NOOAUAUUGUUAUUGH while thunder and lightning flashes
Scene fades to blood dripping Triforce logo followed by the subtitle SADDLE OF VENGANCE.
So... yeah, Wind Waker was Link's fucked up dream.
Grubdog said:Ganon can be in any time period because in OoT the composer brothers say that he stole their song that allows time travel.
Actually this Link looks like Wind Waker Link all grown up, look at the hair.AniHawk said:Judging by all that we've seen, this Link looks like the Hero of Time all grown up. Meaning it'd probably be a sequel to MM, and a prequel to TWW.

Well, not sure if that's what they were talking about, but it could have been that.AniHawk said:You mean The Song of Time?

AniHawk said:I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Ganondorf'd need to have a time travel device to play it on.
The reason he's able to be in different times and still be the same guy is because he keeps getting sealed away/trapped instead of killed (until the end of LoZ or ALttP- take your choice).

Deepthroat said:Is Aonuma the director of Wind Waker? Is he directing the new Zelda? :S
SantaCruZer said:Aonuma is not the director of the new Zelda. I forgot the directors name.
Foobar said:The director is still currently unnamed, if I'm not mistaken.
How will we be able to discuss how the Next Legend of Zelda fit in with Wind Waker with 3 screens?

AniHawk said:No, he was the scenario writer for TWW or something. Aonuma is on board as a producer. Shiggy is probably just overseeing the entire project and dropping suggestions here and there.
Mitsuhiro Takano - Director - Nintendo EAD
Mitsuhiro Takano is making his directorial debut on The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo GameCube. Takano has worked for both Nintendo R&D2 and Nintendo EAD in his 7 year tenure as everything from a script writer, graphic designer, to assistant director. Takano spoke briefly of his project and mentioned the development team was working very hard on expanding the controls and hoped to fully utilize the GameCube controller. It shall be interesting to see how one third of the original The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask creative designers does with the new Zelda now that Eiji Aonuma and Yoshiaki Koizumi have moved on to other projects.
En-ou said:the zeldas do not necessarily have to fit in with eachother. dont you know?
GaimeGuy said:Except that's a goal of EAD to tie the games together.
Takashi Tezuka?GaimeGuy said:No. The confirmed director of the new zelda is the guy who was responsible for the story of Majora's Mask.(I don't remember his name) I believe IGN confirmed it in a mailbag or an interview a few months back....

ancestor?hobbitx said:Agreed, I don't really care to much about huge story tie-ins, but I do love all the different little connections certain characters have with each other between different games though. Like seeing the Postman's ancestor in Wind Waker, I loved that. :lol
olimario said:I can't tell you how much I'd like to see a new world with completely unique locations, NPCs, and enemies.
I want Nintendo to stray far from the details that defined old zelda titles and give us something new so we'll be saying "Wow" instead of "Oh".
I want Nintendo to reach deep within their creativity and pull out a game unlike any other. I want Zelda to REEK of the originality that Pikmin does.

My main hope for this game is a totally different story, Gannon could make an appearance but not as the bad guy maybe as just a piece of a larger story and maybe an unexpected ally setting up for a betrayal at the end for the game, setting the scene for the a squeal.
Something I haven't really seen mentioned elsewhere - the fact sheet Nintendo sent along with Minish Cap states that it ties the Four Swords titles into the overall Zelda mythology.AniHawk said:Except for FSA. Seems like they're letting Capcom create their own little timeline dealy.
hobbitx said:I was talking about the mail sorter guy from Dragon Roost island. If you look closely at his face you can see the funny resemblance and the info from his figurine kinda confirms it.
