Viacom dropped Howard without any notice and he was replaced by David Lee Roth this morning. The new show is way beyond bad.

Robin didn't find out about it until this morning when she was getting ready to come to work.

Howard and Robin called into the show this morning and Howard is right... that's a pretty crappy way to treat someone after they've spent 20 years with a company and made that company billions of dollars. But such is life, I suppose.

This definitely sucks.

I think he could. They've talked about that in the past. The thing is though... I don't think Sirius is ready for him just yet (they are still building his studio and whatnot) plus Howard has always said that if he did get pulled early he would want to take some time off (and so would Robin, Artie, etc).

I don't think its a prank because my local radio station, which airs Howard's show in syndication, no longer mentions him in their lineup.

The commercial used to be "Live 105.7 - Howard Stern in the morning, Out To Lunch with Big O' and Dukes at Noon, Don & Mike Afternoons, and the Legendary HFS at night".

Now its "Live 105.7 - Out To Lunch with Big O' and Dukes at Noon, Don & Mike Afternoons, and the Legendary HFS at night".

No mention of Stern at all. If its a prank then its a damn good one to get all of the other stations to participate.

Howard is on the air right now. It was a prank, if your station no longer carries Howard, it may be because their contract is up. A lot of Stern contracts are starting to finish as we get closer to the end of the year. He's on now in Chicago.
