Aniplex has signed an agreement with DELiGHTWORKS to acquire all shares of a new company (name to be announced at a later date) that will succeed DELiGHTWORKS' games business through a corporate split, the companies announced (2).
The transaction is scheduled to be completed in spring 2022, subject to the effective establishment of the aforementioned corporate split, and the approval and authorization of relevant authorities.
With the new company's staff, creators, and personnel, Aniplex will aim for the further growth of the new company and its game business as a whole.
In accordance with this announcement, Fate/Grand Order's production committee will be made up of Aniplex, Notes (TYPE-MOON), and the new company, and the Fate/Grand Order development team at DELiGHTWORKS will be transferred to the new company along with its other games operations.
Going forward, DELiGHTWORKS will continue to operate as a company outside of the games business to be transferred.
