Hudson Best Collection announced for GBA
Details of a number of greatest hits collections from Hudson have been listed on online store, edigi game's website. Cashing in on the current Famicom fever sweeping across Japan, the cartridges each contain a number of classics of the same theme for the budget price of 2940 yen. The lineup is as follows:

vol.1: Bomberman collection (2005-12-08) - Bomberman, Bomberman II
vol.2: Lode Runner collection (2005-12-08) - Lode Runner, Championship Lode Runner
vol.3: Action collection (2005-12-22) - Challenger, Meikyuu Kumikyoku
vol.4: Nazotoki collection (2005-12-22) - Nuts & Milk, Binaryland, Sarada no Kuni no Tomato Hime
vol.5: Shooting collection (2006-01-19) - Star Force, Star Soldier, Vector '87
vol.6: Boukenjima collection (2006-01-29) - Takahashi Meijin no Boukenjima I, II, III & IV

Volumes 3 and 6 look especially great. :)

For english titles...

Volume 1
-Bomberman
-Bomberman II

Volume 2
-Championship Lode Runner
-Lode Runner

Volume 3
-Challenger
-Meikyuu Kumikyoku (Milon's Secret Castle)

Volume 4
-Binary Land
-Nuts & Milk
-Sarada no Kuni no Tomato Hime (Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom)

Volume 5
-Star Force
-Star Soldier
-Hector '87

Volume 6
-Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima (Hudson's Adventure Island)
-Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima II (Hudson's Adventure Island II)
-Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima III (Hudson's Adventure Island III)
-Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima IV

Ah crap, it's all 8-bit. Milon's Secret Castle [Meikyuu Kumikyoku] is good and all, but an official portable Do-Re-Milon would be mindblowing. Challenger is a signature Hudson classic (and if I remember correctly was a minor technical marvel, possibly just for something as silly as it scrolled left), but it's completely awful, no? It's never done anything for me, anyway.

So Vol's 2 and 4, then, because Binaryland is one of the best games of all time.

Oh wow, Volume 5 is gonna be awesome too! Go back and play those games sometime, they hold up very well for 8-bit shooters. Especially Star Soldier.

*Sigh*

I just know I'm gonna end up importing every one of these.

No Adventure Island?? :-(

Those games are so fun to play on PocketNES.

Look post above yours, it's in there... This is sweet, I was just playing the PS2 version of Adventure Island today (it's out in Japan only), and it rocks! The oldschool gameplay is retained completely, just updated visuals.

What we really need are official sets that clone, down to the last detail, the PC Engine versions of these and other Hudson games, as they were usually superior.
