Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact launching July 17, pre-orders up!

Day one. Cannot wait.

I love HxH, and marvel like fighters, so this game will be broken fun.

I suspect this game will be massively hype to watch at tournaments.

An anime adaptation game that is a proper fighting game like Dragonball FighterZ, and not another arena brawler?

Happy Season 8 GIF by Mr. D

I'm fan of HxH but have no interest in another arena fighter.

The only arena fighter I ever liked was Dissidia on PSP.

man, after DBFZ this looks so bad and its made by the same dev... HOW ?
Arcsys seems to be the publisher. Never heard of Bushiroad before. It's their first game on Steam.

It looks pretty crappy but I thought the same about that power Rangers game and it turned out to be kind of fun.

I've never watched this anime. Have it on my crunchy roll list but know nothing about it

Should it be my next viewing? (No spoilers pls)

Spoiler free answer. Watch this and let the stiff nipples guide you my friend.

Just wanna say, this game sucks ass.

The story mode was terrible, just a power point presentation with poorly cropped, low resolution stills from the anime and no voice acting, aside from some grunt noises.

There's a Heavens Arena mode where you have to go through 35 stages to reach the top, and since this is a 3v3 game, that's 105 fights against different permutations of the same 16 characters over and over again. There's also an arcade mode, which is the same thing, but only 8 stages instead of 35, with Meruem playing the role of Shao Kahn at the end.

Aside from that, you have a challenge mode, which is just an extended tutorial, a training mode for practicing, a basic free battle mode, and online/offline multiplayer, with online being riddled with latency issues.

Definitely felt scammed after buying this piece of crap.

Yeah I love HxH but even I didn't give them money without functioning online.

No point.

Now the IP will remain dead for another 30+ years.

Why do anime games almost always have to be fighter games? Dragon Ball got a lot of kino from ARPG, to JRPG to platformer games and so on. Wish more animes got the same treatment, but I guess fighting games and specially arena fighters must be the safest bet.

Cheaper to make too, the budget for this game was small. They were probably aiming for a high ROI with little emphasis on the I part.

And not only did they cheap out on marketing, you can't even easily find the game on Steam due to them using a weird ASCII character for the "x" in the title.

Just a giant blunder all around.
