Fucking week without power in texas summer, struggling to get food, house rekt, trees and shit all over the place in my neighborhood

finally got power back last night and spent all of today in bed to find out got a whole in the roof, insurance won't cover it and as far as i know no federal aid

I've been through so many too, but I've alyways thankfully lived in solid concrete buildings. Looking at videos of hurricanes, just isnt the same as being there.

yeah, same as the other poster. charlies eye came right through daytona . and to top it off, i had a massive tree branch plunge through the sky light in our roof during the hurricane. there were, realisticly, 3-4 feet of trees and branches in our yard, basically surrounding the house. we couldnt get out the front door or back, and barely could squeeze out through the garage. it was misery.

the rest was for our monthly bills

So the deductible didn’t cover the cost of repairs? Or you can’t afford the deductible? If it’s the latter, You may be able to work with the contractors to pay out the deductible over time.

Do you have any equity in your home? If you owe less than home value you could take out a home equity line of credit.

Not sure if the damaged home would violate the loan terms though
