Hello fellas, here's the new trailer about the new Hyrule Warriors. I haven't played any of them because of performance, I hope we get an upgrade patch for the other entries on Switch 2.

And regarding performance, there's a performance mode of this game on Switch 2 as well, but it looks like running on at 1080p or so... It looks like it's not using any form on temporal AA so don't count on DLSS being implemented for this one.

This is the first HW game I would probably play so I hope it's good and runs well.

Switch 2 patch for the original Hyrule Warriors please. I own it on Wii U so I admittedly just threw it on my hacked Switch, where I still really never played it beyond my time with the U version, because it still runs like crap.

The vibes in the game are so good, I think I would re-buy to access on Switch 2.

The definitive edition runs 60 fps and looks ok resolution wise I guess. I rather take a patch for Age of Calamity. This map overview music is awesome.

My assumption is that it will. The number of titles with free upgrades (or any upgrades) on Switch 2 doesn't seem bad compared to PS4 Pro, PS5, or PS5 Pro upgrades as they happened.

We also don't know whether AoC will be upgraded by simply putting the cart in a NS2 and doing nothing else whatsoever due to uncapped framerate or whatever

This is a good example of how Wii U features could survive to much benefit. On Wii U, the two-player mode put player 2 on the gamepad so each player got a display. Of course, the entire system performance tanked.

Switch 2 could accomplish the same thing, using an old Switch, or another Switch 2. Without making it the primary marketshare destroying gimmick, it's relegated back to GBA taking a Mario Kart course over a link cable. Systems never lived or died over it, it was just useful. It's in the DNA, bring it back.

Honestly, I've thought about this a lot. I think Nintendo is strategically spreading out news about the Switch 2 so they will keep having new "surprises" to announce at directs.

Of any console rollout I've ever seen, the Switch 2 has been the most planned and most deliberate. I'm not sure if they know what they are doing(they do) but I am sure of one thing. They have a plan.

It's definitely coming. They will use the Age of Calamity update patch to promote Age of Imprisonment. It's just a matter of when.

I don't think AoC will even need a patch. Apparently it runs great on modded/overclocked consoles, so the Switch 2 should brute-force its targetted resolution and framerate from power alone.

The most Switch 2 could do without a patch is to stabilize the framerate at a solid 30fps. The game was never coded to go beyond 30fps, so in order for it to hit 60fps they would indeed need to patch it.

It's basically why some games in Free update wave 1 are or aren't getting a framerate patch, e.g. the Overhead Zelda games. They were already coded to run at 60fps so Switch 2 can just brute force it to run at a stable 60fps, no patch needed.
