I’ve been apart of this forum for twenty years….

I might not be as active on NeoGAF as I used to be, but this place still means a lot to me. Back during my first year of college, I was a shy gamer without many people to talk to about the things I really loved…games, geeky stuff, even hiding my Pokémon cards like it was some big secret.

NeoGAF was a safe space where I could finally be myself and connect with people who got it. It honestly helped me through a time when I felt pretty alone.

Even now, logging back in brings a wave of nostalgia. I'm an old man married with FIVE BOYS 💀 Are any of the old heads from back then still around? Would be great to see some familiar names again.

2004 here

Glad to have you as part of the community.

I'm not quite at 20 but not far behind. I'm also coming up on the point where I will have been a member of GAF for more than half of my life. It's kinda surreal to think it's been that long.

I lurked on Gaf since, I think 2006? Searching for news for our now not longer existing handheld websites. Before that I used this old and boring board called Gaming-Age Forums

Anyone remembers that? What a bunch of losers on there!

I've been a member since the divorce of 2018, but I've been a lurker since 2011 (I came here from halo waypoint.) So I've been around for 14 years now. Not a lot compared to some here but I like to think thats pretty respectable.

I even managed to convince a member to add me to the xbox hype train back in the mid '10's

I've been lurking here since around the same time, back when the forum was called Gamer Ages or something, but I only decided to register for an account last year. I dont use any social media or other forums at all.

A lot has changed since then and now, eh? We'll both be Hollow before you know it. Hah hah hah hah…

I have only been here 12 years and just enjoy being silly here and wondering at the games we are seeing and the disasters also. It's an entertaining business to watch and play which is why I think so many of us love it here to have a place to discuss freely and respectfully (most of the time). It's an awesome place. 5 boys is a LOT!

2 kids is plenty for me but they're the most important thing in the world to me.

something I have always wondered - do we have any celebrities lurking or posting in secret on these boards?

plenty of celebs game openly, Orlando Bloom and Henry Cavil spring to mind..

I was on the Penny Arcade forums for 20 years. The forums were shut down and reborn as Coin Return.

The funny part about it was that the forum was steadily falling apart.

18 years here. My account is old enough to drink alcohol in most of the world, and I was lurking for a while before that.

Those were fun times. I remember it being early in the 360/PS3 generation, right when a lot of big franchises were going multiplatform, and enjoying the fireworks from that.

I don't post much these days but I'm still around.

Technically been here since 2008, but I was just a huge lurker with no account. I don't really post much even now, but it's nice to actually be apart of it after all that time. Feels like a club of "I know everyone but no one knows who the hell I am".

Been here for 13 years, 15 if you count lurking without an account.

I remember the insanity of WUST threads.
The Arkham Asylum takeover.
Xbone reveal disaster.
People claiming the Switch would be the death of Nintendo.
The Great Rift and forming of the (purple) Eye of Terror.

This place feels like a second home, even if i dont know anyone personally.

I got 15 years achievement few days ago. It's probably like 18 or something when you add the lurking because during those days it was impossible to get an account here. Waiting times were like a year or something lol.
