I am dead inside

Sad The Office GIF

Why cant life just go well and fucking normally for once ay. Everytime its dissapointment after another.

I work hard and try to do my best but it seems like it never works out in the end
I am sorry man that is terrible, I hope things would go right for you at some point keep going

As a great best friends told me: "Life sucks and then we die".

My advice is dont fight against it, instead, try to look for things to get your mind off the bad stuff. You'll survive.

Grab a rock pretend the rock is the source of all worries. Then chuck that rock aka worries aside. Just gotta keep going.

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true

You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you

OP, you got this.

The only way is through. Sounds like hokey bullshit but it's true.

Connect with friends and family, and try new stuff out be it hobbies, go to a new bar/restaurant, etc. Changing your viewpoint and habits is the first step to changing how your life is going.

And if all else fails, post here about games you like, thoughts you have, or funny dunking memes. Defiinitely one of us will be there to chime on in.

Edit: Also the Sydney Sweeney Thread helps.

The current project was given to me with nearly impossible deadlines, lack of clarity, and when we hit a bump in the road it was made to be 100% my fault. Even though the information that was given to me was from the leadership members.
I've been here. The job I had before this one, they extended my probation then handed me a project with a ridiculous deadline and not enough info to do it properly. Was called into the office just before the end of the work day and told they were letting me go.

That gets easier to deal with the older you get.

With wisdom comes...fortitude :)

Ere'thing gonna be fine!

On the contrary brother, the older I get, the more burnt out I become by all the micro/macro management, chores and general life obligations/responsibilities...

I just can't anymore, i go into overdrive mode way easier, I'm more easily irritated by bullshit and I can't focus like I used to - and as for multitasking...forget about it.

I just want to relax and have just ONE G'damn relaxing day® but...it seems impossible.

MMaRsu MMaRsu , I get it man, just try to hang in there

Like others have said. Try and change your life style if you current one isn't working. Lots of people suggest exercise, and that's a great shout. But I found what really helped me was not just the physical movement, but where I moved from and to. Go to national parks, countrysides full of open plains and nature. We're not meant to be locked between 4 walls all day which is so easily done these days with work and home life. But make the time, make the effort to throw yourself into the natural world and feel how out ancestors did, marvel at how beautiful are world is and can be without human interference. Even if it's just a once a weekend thing. Just do it

I can't stress enough how good touching grass is. My family and I went camping for a few days last year. No phones. No real comforts. Just being with each other outdoors. Felt a million times better.

Yeah been there. I find I can do some things better the older I am and have very little patience for bullshit.

While my temper is WAY shorter than it used to be I have the insight to understand that I am reacting to something and I do a much better job of not blowing up on people now.

I started working when I was very young and I was accustomed to being the youngest person in every meeting I was in...then one day I look around and realize I am the oldest person in every meeting I am in...surreal (and a tad depressing).

Yeah that's a funny feeling. I started my career very young in tech, back in the late 90s and I was always the youngest by far on everything. Became a "lead" really young too so was leading development/developers twice my age.

A few years ago I came to that realization I am the old guy now lol Part of that is tech just being a younger and younger industry. I think the average age of a developer dropped like 20 years during my nearing 30 year career.

That made me thought, that perhaps so much shit happens around/to you because in your environment you are the normal one and everyone else relies on you being the stable lighttower in their lifes.
