bah i've been back since last tuesday + we have to wear uniforms here yay! Fuck I have to decide my whole fucking future within 1.5months and I have no idea what university courses i want to go for. FUCK FUCK FUCK

It was the people that made high school such a shitty experience. Of course, it was also the people (friends) who made it bearable. I basically hated most of the "popular" crowd and the people who felt they were above everyone else. I hated how athletes got special treatment from teachers. I hated the cliques.
College and university are totally different and I like it that way. Most people are cool with eachother, and there isn't any type of hierarchy. You're all trying to do the same thing, and that's get through school so you can start a career or move on to something else. At this point a lot of the jackasses from high school have been weeded out. And if they haven't, they're usually gone after the first year.

Yeah i can understand and its unreasonable to expect 'everyone' to be able to make the right decision for themselves. Although its easier in the US and Europe from what i hear as your further education is much broader in content. Since you are more exposed you are in a better position to make a decision.

Try not to feel so much pressure. You can always change your mind if you screw up. An extra year or two of schooling isn't going to kill you if you realize you don't like what you chose. You'll feel it out as you go along and find yourself leaning towards certain courses moreso than others.

Whahaha, I've been working since mid-april, but my job ended last week. Now I'm on a well-earned vacation, for as long as I want!!!! Well, until I run out of money, but that will take a while.
And school? That's like one year off, if I feel like studying of course. Thank god.

If you don't know what you want to do, look at nice unis, find a place you want to go to, and find a course you could get in on. Then, if you don't like the course you'll at least be at a good place and you can always change your course, if you like. Generally it's far easier to get onto a course when you're already at uni doing another one than it is when your first applying.
As for highschool I hated it. I wasn't bullied, I got on with most people (had some great friends), my grades were pretty decent, but I hated it. Not that any work I've been in so far has been any better, but no worse either.
high school rocked, but college is definitely better and more fun. it's also cool having friends that attend all the major universities in the state(ut-austin, texas tech, texas A&M, texas st.) besides the ones down here at utsa. lots of stuff to do at each place... and everyone is cool as fuck. it's all about grades and getting drunk on the weekends.

The last three months of my senior year in high school were hell. I had enough teen angst to make livejournal and xanga both shut down. I spent my last months of high school sitting alone in the cafeteria...reading my bible. I still had my friends, but I just didn't want to be bothered anymore. No joke. I went from being a pretty social guy to a total loner in a matter of weeks. Didn't go to graduation, prom, or senior celebration.
I can't wait until January, thats when my college career starts. I hope college isn't so depressing.

Magnet high school. Only high school in Austin that started at 8am. And since I didn't have a car for the first 3 years, I had to wake up at 5:30am and catch a magnet bus at 6:00am. Then I would take the same bus home and get back at 5:00pm. So I was already at a 12 hour day, then you add in homework. Yeah, I had fun in class with my friends, but those were some long days and nights. I liked high school up until the end, then things just got stressful and confusing. Maybe one day I'll look back at it and wish I was back, but not now...4 months ago I was sitting in that classroom thinking about the future. I'm just happy I made it through.
