So I'm back in the States, rooting through all my old Apple IIgs shit, comic books, and demo tapes from Bill "Moe Death" Donohue's rock band, and what do I find:

Holy motherfuck! It's a Bit Boys Oy graphics card!!! Where the hell did I ever pick this up?

The very pinnacle of 1997 technology. I guess that's right after the N64 launched.

OHHHH QUAIL IN TERROR AT THE POWER OF THE PYRAMID3D. This is a PCI pass-through card -- no 2D core on it AFAIK. Uh, anyone got drivers?

Here is a picture from the Glaze3D. I have no idea if this has any relation to the Pyramid3D.

I think I'm going to plug this into my grandma's XP box (I'm cleaning all the spyware off it) and see what happens. I'll be back.

...oh wait, but it can't find any drivers. THE CURSE OF THE BITBOYS STRIKES AGAIN!

That's a picture from Pyramid 3D demo, no relation to Glaze 3D.

Did you just photoshop some Voodoo 1 pictures, I don't think the real Pyramid 3D beta cards had the Bitboys name on them. They were done by VLSI Solutions long time after Bitboys were kicked out of the project...

And I thought I was looking at old tech when I found my Voodoo 1 card at the bottom of a drawer today.

Sir, I salute you!

Didn't bill donahue have a wack rap group called the suburban allstars?
They had me nodding my head, to that banger known as "In the can"!

wasn't this POS also co-designed by some ex-future crew or some other ex demo scene people?

I wouldn't call it POS, it had very good 3D at the time, and the video hardware is supposed to be excellent. Too bad the company got screwed by Bitboys (who are 95% vapourware company) and later by the korean company that was supposed to start manufacturing the card.

Bitboys have had chips that make it to market for a while now. The new generation of their Acceleon graphics processors for mobile devices does programmable pixel and vertex shading.

Actually, the tape I have is when they were called F.A.T. (Fuckin' A, Tweetie). The title track was "Wig Boy Woes" which was written about Bill's old boss at AT&T. There is also a track called "He Ain't Got No Boot" which is all about Bomberman.
