Thats the only money I can spend for quite a while so suggest something good. I might wait till next week for some more releases.

*note* humurous responces=not teh funny.

Spoon - Gimmee Fiction comes out tueday. Get that.

Or get BLACK CHERRY by Goldfrapp, which is what I've been listening to lately. Or save your money until May 24th and by THE WOODS by Sleater-Kinney which is my personal AOTY thus far,

Ew, the new Spoon album's bland as hell. Go for their back catalog, and then just download "I Turn My Camera On" so you can listen to the only decent song on the album.

The Woods is pretty good. I was listening to it a bunch the last couple of weeks. But don't get yourself into Sleater-Kinney if you're not familiar with the singer's voice, because it tends to grate.

Honestly, I don't remember. It leaked when, like January 20th? I was all right with it for a week or so, but repeat listens yielded nothing more than a bland retread of better Spoon material.

Yikes that's ugly.

You could be awesome like me and buy the SFA re-issues that came out a couple weeks ago:

Guerrilla came out after those four, so I'm going to have to go back for that. I'm not sure if it came out last week or if it's coming out tomorrow.

Pretty sure Guerilla was last week. I picked up A Northern Chorus' new one last week and I've enjoyed it cause it's nice and relaxing but it's really nothing special.

what type of music do you like?
i'd suggest the new order album, or the brazilian girls album.

Punk is probably my most owned genre. I like alot of stuff. Itd be to hard to break it down by catagory. The only genres I cant stand are country and most newer rap. The last CD I bought was "Above the City - Smoke or Fire" which I thought was OK.

Im trying to broaden my horizens a little.

can't go wrong with hot snakes, death from above 1979 or the gang of four album. if you're looking for a bit more mainstream stuff then supersystem or the bravery.
hell i'd suggest a bunch of new wave, brit pop and electronic stuff actually, if you wanna broaden your horizons.

I give the nod to Death From Above 1979 - You're A Women, I'm A Machine. I thought only having bass, no guitars, was going to be gimmicky, and I would be sick of the cd within a week. Still rocking out to it weeks later. Good stuff.

G04 is was a punk band that drew a lot of influence from funk, in that it's very bass-driven. Personally, I don't think their music has held up very well at all.. but whatever. You can heard their influence in recent bands such as Liars, Bloc Party, The Rapture, The Bravery, etc.

Do you like the Boredoms? Their new album came out yesterday... Seaduh/ House of SUn.

Ive heard a few tracks from their album Chocalate Sythesizer, which I actually thought was pretty good. I think Ill look for some preview tracks online for Seaduh.

Let's keep it at My Chemical Romance dude.

No really. Download it. You'll be shocked... it sounds like something straight off of an Ultravox album. Granted, it's heavily smaples the song "Fade to Grey" by Visage (even the vocal melody is ripped straight form that song), but it really caught me off guard. It's one of the better electro - (Clash) singles I've heard in a while.
