This is apparently an infamous brand of ramen that is so hot, any more than one package of the sauce will cause intense burning in your mouth, at least according to Youtubers taking on 'spicy challenges' for their viewers. My friend has been hyping up this ramen to me for the better part of a month and I decided yesterday, why not, let's go buy some from H Mart. We made four packs of the stuff in a pot and divided it.

Suffice to say it isn't very hot at all. I don't know if it's because I'm used to other heavily spiced dishes but it's hardly the pants on fire burning sensation it's hocked up to be. The flavor is pretty nice though, went well with seasoned ribs. Anyone else tried this ramen?

You just reminded me I bought one a while ago to try...

Edit: Well, if it has actual flavour, it's already better than real buldak. :D

I have this multiple times a week (I live in Korea). Definitely not as spicy as everyone makes it out to be, it's delicious though.

How did you cook it though, you said it was in a pot. You're supposed to drain the water then add the spices after, fyi (although it's not bad as a soup).

Ah yeah I should specify. We cooked the noodles first and mixed the sauce in after draining and putting them back into the pot.

That's how it is supposed to be done. Cooking them the regular way (boil noodles and add in the packets while it's boiling) won't work as well as it should.

These are my go-to Spicy noodles now. Prefer them over Shin Ramyun. It was spicy at first but then I got used to it. Just bought 2 packs of 5 earlier today. Delicious.

Korean Ramen tends to be hot pepper based
Japanese Ramen tends to be soy based

This is one of my favorite flavors of hot pepper "Ramen"
But I prefer salty soy based broth overall

Anybody know if it's available in the US anywhere?

I know for sure it's available at H Mart if you have one near you. I think any Korean market might carry them.

I googled it

Now I really want to try this dish. It looks great

I could see myself eating these a few times a week tbh. Might make another trip soon

Bought a pack because of the YouTube challenges. I love spicy ramen and the way people were acting I thought it would be like ramen with high range Blaire's heat. I ate one to test it and it was really good but not really as hot as I thought it would be. I ended up taking the rest to work for lunch snacks.

I thought it was pretty tasty and though there was indeed a kick, wasn't as spicy as the YouTube challenges made it out to be.

However this is suppsoe to new spicy ramen, the habenero. Haven't tried it yet though but it's on my list.

Haven't heard of these. They are now on my radar. Thanks Fresh.

Multiple times a week? Damn son.

All that sodium.

Habanero Ramen?! Ooh, that's now on my radar. Gonna need to see if my local Asian market's carry them. Love how in that picture they added more peppers to the ramen, lol. I like spicy foods but I'm not that crazy!

I might grab a pack next time I'm at the market. I think anything higher than habaneros in instant ramen would be labeled poison.

It's essentially like sannakjji, simply to serve as dickwaving rights for eating it. There's no other real effort outside of making the chicken as spicy as possible.

Kind of like hot wing challenges then? This might be up my alley to try once.

EDIT: I didn't know what sannakji was until just now. Damn lol. The chicken sounds like a walk in the park compared to that
