I used the "Comet" AI browser to argue against myself.... we both lost.

Edit: I guess I should clarify this isn't an ad.

I received a free year of "Perplexity Pro" subscription due to using a Samsung phone, and they have been pushing their AI browser (Comet) pretty hard. In my boredom I downloaded it to play around with it. I asked it to search my username and analyze my writing style from my previous posts, and I admit it was impressive to see it navigate GAF and collect the data in real time. I guess it's not that tall of a task, but still neat to see.

When it was through, I asked it to debate me as if it was me and I was another user. It was a neat little party trick and I admit that it did a decent job, but I did learn something about myself that wasn't very flattering..... I can be pretty insufferable. On the bright side, if I ever decide to nuke my account and troll some people, it can be set up to post as you, monitor for responses, and then reply back. One could ask it to read the works of Shakespeare and then come here in character to argue against all of GAF as to why Sonic is a better game than Super Mario World.

Oh yeah, dead internet theory is real. I'm now convinced.

I almost let my new doppelganger reply to you, but that's a stone best left unturned :messenger_beaming:

All my posts are just made with AI and when I get lazy I just copy and paste my old posts.

If someone argues with me I'll just copy paste someone else's posts and continue arguing via that person's copied posts
